Interface NeoForgeInstance

  • All Implemented Interfaces:

    public interface NeoForgeInstance

    One NeoForge build: which Minecraft it targets, the build itself, and where its installer is fetched from.

    An interface with two implementations, because NeoForge changed where it publishes. Its first releases — Minecraft 1.20 and 1.20.1 — live under the legacy net/neoforged/forge/ artifact group and need both versions to address the installer (OldNeoForgeInstance); everything later is addressed by the bare NeoForge version (NewNeoForgeInstance). NeoForgeLoader picks the right one per build, so callers here see one type and never that split.

      • getNeoForgeVersion

         abstract String getNeoForgeVersion()

        The NeoForge build, meaningful only together with minecraftVersion.

      • getInstallerUrl

         abstract URL getInstallerUrl()

        Where this build's installer is downloaded from. Landmine: maven metadata can list a version whose installer 404s, so a failure here means "upstream is incomplete", not "the version does not exist".
